Peer Review Process

IJRDO - Journal of Aeronautical and Space Studies has a rigorous peer-reviewed process in place to maintain the quality of our publications. Papers are reviewed by experts in the field before being accepted.

The objective is to have a fair, transparent, and academic-driven process.

Initial Screening

Once submitted, the manuscript is reviewed by the editorial staff. This ensures that:

It falls within the scope of the journal
It is complete and well organised
Basic quality requirements are met

Those who fail to meet these requirements may be rejected.

Review Process

Papers that successfully pass the initial review are then reviewed by independent experts. They are asked to evaluate the paper for:

Technical accuracy
Original contribution
Clarity of writing
Importance to aeronautical and space research

Their opinion is used to inform the editorial process.

Type of Review

The journal has a review process where the identities of both reviewers and authors are managed to ensure fairness. The work is reviewed, and decisions are made impartially on the basis of the manuscript.

Editorial Decision

The editor will make one of the following decisions based on the reviewers' recommendations:

Accept the manuscript
Request revisions
Reject the manuscript

Authors are notified of the decision and shown the reviewers' comments.

Revision Process

If the manuscript needs revision, the authors should:

Revise the manuscript as required
Respond promptly and on time

Manuscripts may be sent for a second review.

Confidentiality

All manuscripts are considered confidential. The content is not shared or used by reviewers and editors for their own benefit.

Timeliness

The journal strives to review manuscripts in a timely manner. Time frames may differ from manuscript to manuscript, but delays are minimised.

Final Acceptance

After all review criteria have been met, a manuscript is accepted for publication and passed to the preparation stage.
